  • My savy buy benefits from iPodmania

The other day on a whim I plunked down — well, virtually speaking plunked down — $16.99 for a cute piece of pop art known as a Podbrix. Some sharp fellow produced a limited run of 300 tiny ipod toting dudes (or are they dudettes?) made out of Lego’s mini-figures. They quickly sold out as…

  • Review of iPhoto 5.0

(Updated with quick slide show button on 1/27 and on 2/3 with 5.01 release) Steve Jobs’ introduction of the updated iPhoto in the iLife suite had me salivating immediately. Cutting the price of photo prints in half from 39 cents to 19 cents and offering a zillion new options for photo books (also at lower…

  • iPhoto 5.01 is out

Apple has listened! They’re out with iPhoto 5.01. So far it only seems to be available through “Software Update” but I’m sure it will be posted on the web soon. Original review

That’s the tool you’d use to self-install extra…

  • More good reading on new Mac & iPod

John Gruber has his usual mix of thought-provoking analysis and interesting tangents in his lengthy post on the Mac mini and iPod shuffle. Must remember to subscribe to John’s blog, Daring Fireball.

  • Apple puts flash MP3 makers in a bind

One more link to my good pal Shabbir who has a sharp analysis of the disruptive effect that Apple’s new $99 iPod Shuffle will have on the market for digital music players.

  • Lustin’

Shabbir is lusting for an iPod Shuffle…me too!

  • Mini Mac = maxi desire

Apple unleashed its low-cost entries into the PC and digital music player ecosystems today. Predictably, at least one Windows drone has already complained that the Mac mini is too expensive at $499 without a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Like the complaints about the $249 price tag on the iPod mini, critics are utterly misreading the…
