The gadgeteers over on Crunchgear are reporting a tip about the next generation of Amazon’s fabulous Kindle e-book reader and, if the tipster is correct, Amazon has listened to a lot of customer feedback. Check out the story here. Now we wait and see.
If true, the new Kindles would certainly have an effect over on eBay’s Kindle auctions. It’s not unusual to see used Kindles go for over $300, when a new one can be had for $359. I even saw a recent auction close at $330. To me, that’s a testament to the Kindle’s appeal and value proposition. The free wireless connection is worth a lot and doesn’t age.
