Catching up on a bunch of feeds at Bloglines this morning, I found my inbox filed with news of cool stuff. The 1.5.0.2 upgrade of Firefox on my Powerbook g4 renders page with super speed that puts Safari to shame. Next, and I can’t quite decide whether this is great or insane, a service called cl1p.net lets you upload and download text or a file of up to 2 MB by making up a url (like http://cl1p.net/fgfgty/) and distributing it to anyone you want. Could be more convenient than emailing a file, I guess. You could make such a url and bookmark it on several computers and use it as a scrapbook, I guess. Finally, Bloglines has added a handy feature. If you’re reading posts and you hit the “m” key, the two-pane setup switches to a single view of just the feed list you’re reading (the my feeds panel disappaers). Hit “m” again and you get the two panes back. This is especially convenient for reading blogs that don’t wrap properly.
